About the Role
Key Responsibilities
• Achieve daily and monthly production targets while optimizing machinery, manpower, and raw material utilization.
• Monitor machine performance, downtime, changeovers, production efficiency, and product quality.
• Troubleshoot process issues and coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Planning teams.
• Minimize rejection, rework, material wastage, and production downtime.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, quality requirements, and housekeeping practices.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S/6S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage shift operations, manpower deployment, and production reporting/MIS.
• Train and develop team members, address skill gaps, and identify successors.
Requirements
Position: Deputy Manager / Manager – Production
Department: Lamination & Impregnation
Reporting To: Plant Head
Location: Srikalahasthi, Andhra Pradesh
Qualification & Experience
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in MDF, particle board, wood panels, or decorative laminate manufacturing.
Experience in lamination line operations and team management preferred.
Required Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of MDF lamination and pre-lamination processes.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Leadership, team management, and crisis-management abilities.
Effective communication and cross-functional coordination.
Focus on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
